Wedding hour

Prelude, processional, signing, recessional. Named titles the couple already chose. A lawn still wants a processional. Cites on Wedding. Ask the player what they will actually carry onto grass. A pedal harp on a patio is a different load than a lever harp in a chapel. Shade, a firm pad, and a path that is not wet sand are the venue jobs. The player should not learn those on the hour. Name them on the request.

Funeral hour

Quiet seating. Hymns the family named. Volume stays low. Cites on Funeral. Do not pack a party book. Do not pack a click track. The hour is seating and named hymns. Tell the player the room size before they leave home. A small chapel and a large sanctuary are different volumes even with the same instrument.

Party or corporate hour

Background. Conversation louder than the harp. A shorter book, sometimes one named song. Cites on party and corporate. A lobby wants less volume than a ceremony. A cocktail hour wants a shorter set than a processional. Name the hour on the request so the book matches. A branded walk-on is not a wedding processional. Do not copy a ceremony list onto a lobby hour.

Lever or pedal

A lever harp often has 22 to 40 strings. It is the usual traveler for a lawn, a hotel foyer, or a small room. A concert pedal harp typically has 47 strings and seven pedals. Formal rooms often want that sound. Read the player's page for what actually arrives. Do not pack a concert harp for a lawn until the player says it will travel. Direct sun while guests find seats is a wood problem, not a repertoire problem.

Tuner, stand, case

Pack a clip-on chromatic tuner and a folding stand after the instrument is named. Florida afternoon air swells wood. A tuner is how the player checks that, not a seating-chart note.
